Who am I?
I am Caroline Gan Wen Shen a Senior Interaction Designer with 13 years' experience in the UK’s leading design agencies, who was born and bred in Shanghai, and now living in London.
I started working at Zentropy Partners (now MRM McCann) in 2003. After 8 years' of tears of joy, I decided to go travel around world and started freelancing. I was privileged to work for leading UK agencies like RED BEE media, ITV, Karmarama, Iris Worldwide, isobar, publicis group, Jamie Oliver, EHS havas and The Engine group from 2011 to 2016.
In mid 2016, I decided to take a sabbatical leave from work to focus on spending time with my family. Between 2017-2019, I completed Textile workshops, Fashion trend forecasting, Cool hunting fashion and Fashion buying short courses at Central Saint Martins UAL. I then established a successful online business sunnyrivermouth.co.uk in 2019, selling curated design products for family fun.
Now it's 2020, I am ready, ready for new challenges in life.
I hold an MA in Design for Interactive Media and BA (hons) in Visual Communication.
I speak Chinese (Mandarin) and English fluently, Japanese (JLPT 4 level) and a little French.
I am a permanent UK resident and I do not require a work permit.
What do I do?
I create interfaces for websites, apps and banners. I design logos. I draw illustrations. I do animation and I draw user interaction wireframes.
My project work includes BBC, UK TV channel, Cadbury, Coty, Unilever, Natwest, RBS, Microsoft, MSN, Nesquik, Nortel, Mastercard, Intel and SKY as clients.
Pitch work involved campaigns for Unilever, Carbon Trust, BBC, HSBC and Peugeot.
